The separate trail ends here at Lover's Point. From here the trail is on Ocean View Avenue. Although there is no bike lane here, there is one ahead. The road turns left as it meets the bay straight ahead. Restrooms are ahead on the right in Lover's Point park.

At this point the route leaves Ocean View Avenue and runs along a separate right of way. On the left is Lover's Point cove (with a nice beach). Monterey and the aquarium are just a mile ahead. Turn right at the end of the parking lot to go up into town for food and a bike shop.
