Ahead the trail wraps to the left around Point Pinos. Point Pino is famous for cross currents. There have been many ship wrecks from this point south. Immendiately to the left Pacific Grove municipal golf course. Also on the left, on the small hill is the lighthouse.

The trail now runs between a series of homes, on the right, and the bay on the left. Beyond the hump directly ahead lies Lucas Point. In January it is not unusual to see whales along this stretch. When the surf is up, expert surfers find challenging waves along this stretch.
